It is a wheat-free, higher-rye mash bill matured in Warehouse H, a metal-clad rickhouse that runs hotter and swings harder than the brick warehouses around it — which accelerates the interaction between spirit and wood. Expect a nose of caramel, orange peel and dried tobacco, a palate that runs from honeyed sweetness into baking spice and dark chocolate, and a long, warming, slightly dry finish. It is bottled at 93 proof, which is high enough to have presence but low enough that it needs no water.

Try it neat first, in a Glencairn or a similar tulip-shaped glass, and give it five minutes in the glass before you judge it. At 93 proof there is nothing to tame. A few drops of water will open the aromatics and soften the finish if you want it to; a large ice cube is perfectly legitimate but will mute the orange and spice notes as it dilutes. Scarcity and process rather than age alone. Single-barrel bottling is inherently less efficient than batching — you cannot blend to a target, so barrels that miss the mark cannot be corrected, and yields per barrel are what they are.
