Buy Japanese Whisky Online in Florida (2026): Nikka, Yamato, Shinobu & More from Bourbon Central

A Japanese whisky bottle with a blank label beside a highball glass with ice and a glass of neat whisky on a dark wood bar, with palm trees and a pastel sunset over the ocean behind

Florida drinks Japanese whisky the way Florida drinks everything: cold, bubbly and with the windows open. A Japanese whisky highball, which is whisky, a lot of ice and cold soda water, suits the heat and humidity better than a neat pour, and the bars of Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville have made it a regular order. Bourbon Central ships Japanese whisky to Florida addresses, and the bottles below are in stock at today’s prices. Pick one for a highball, one for a quiet dram and one for a gift.

Start with the highball

Nikka Days Whisky ($69.99) blends Coffey grain whisky with malts from Nikka’s Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries, with pear, citrus and vanilla, so it works as a highball and as a neat pour. Yamato Mizunara Oak Cask Small Batch Japanese Whisky ($58.99) is a lower-priced way into Mizunara oak, with vanilla, sandalwood and incense. For the ratios and the ice rules, see our Japanese whisky highball guide.

For quiet evenings on the porch

Nikka Yoichi Single Malt ($94.99) is made in Hokkaido with coal-fired stills and has peat smoke, sea salt and orchard fruit, a good match for an evening breeze off the water. Tenjaku Pure Malt ($79.99) blends five and six year old malts aged in seasoned bourbon barrels, a gentle first step for a bourbon drinker. Nikka Coffey Grain Japanese Whisky ($74.99) is a sweet, creamy grain whisky with vanilla and tropical fruit that suits warm weather. For gifts and special nights

Shinobu Distillery Pure Malt Whisky ($69.99) is finished in Mizunara oak, with sandalwood and vanilla. The Yamazaki Single Malt 12 Year ($179.99) is Suntory’s Kyoto malt with peach, pineapple and clove. Our Christmas Japanese whisky gift guide matches each bottle to a person, and our guide to real Japanese whisky explains how to read the label so you do not end up with a bottle that only looks Japanese.

How to drink it in the heat

Fill a tall glass to the top with clear, cold ice, add one part whisky and three to four parts very cold soda water, pour the soda down the side so the bubbles last, and give it one gentle stir. Because the ice does the cooling, use plenty of it. For a neat pour, skip the cooler and let the glass sit at room temperature, or add one large cube if the evening is warm. A slice of lemon or lime is optional, and a sprig of mint is a nice Florida touch. If you are planning a party on the patio, our holiday party quantity guide shows how many bottles to buy.
