The identity of Stellum Rye is rooted in a tried and true 95% Rye Indiana mash bill. To enhance this classic style, they incorporate small amounts more barley-forward rye and choice barrels from both Kentucky and Tennessee. This brings a full, round mouthfeel and flashes of buttery sweetness to an otherwise spicy and tightly focused Rye Whiskey.

This was a great buy. The nose is intense with cinnamon and the heat you would expect from the rye--very pleasant though. The spiciness continues on in the palate with more cinnamon and baking spices, but not overwhelming. A nice, clean heat that brings out the intensity of the flavors. It lingers long and deeply on the finish and the rye spices and cinammon are warming until the next sip. Definitely worth a try. I will be ordering more.
