Learn MoreSoonhari Peach Soju 375mL is one of the cleanest, most straightforward expressions in the Soonhari lineup: ripe peach flavor, a little brightness, and enough acidity to keep the sweetness from becoming heavy. Bottled at just 12% ABV, it drinks more like a light fruit cocktail than a traditional high-proof spirit — soft, silky, and designed to be served cold.
Process & Profile
Produced in Korea by LOTTE Chilsung Beverage, Soonhari Peach starts with alcohol distilled from grain and tapioca, then adds water, citric acid, peach flavor, actual peach juice, and sweeteners. The current U.S. expression is bottled at 12% ABV in a 375mL bottle and is labeled gluten-free.
Soonhari itself traces back to 2015, when LOTTE launched what the company describes as South Korea’s first fruit-flavored soju. The brand was developed around lower alcohol and approachable fruit flavors, helping introduce soju to drinkers who wanted something softer and less spirit-forward than conventional expressions. Peach has since become one of the core flavors in the international Soonhari range.
On the nose, ripe peach leads immediately, backed by a brighter citrus-like lift that prevents the aroma from feeling overly candied. Soonhari characterizes the profile around peach, brightness, and zestiness.
On the palate, it is light and silky, with juicy peach sweetness upfront and a subtle tart edge through the middle. The relatively low alcohol keeps the texture smooth, while the acidity gives the fruit enough definition to stay refreshing.
The finish is clean and relatively short, leaving soft peach sweetness and a slightly tart fruit note rather than noticeable alcohol heat.
What makes Soonhari Peach work is restraint. Rather than pushing toward syrupy peach-candy flavor, the official profile emphasizes a balance of sweetness and tartness, giving it a cleaner and more refreshing character. The expression also earned Silver Medals at both the 2023 International Spirits Challenge and the 2023 Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.
Serve it very cold, straight from the bottle, poured into small soju glasses, or over ice. Soonhari specifically recommends Peach with Korean barbecue, where the sweetness and acidity help balance grilled, salty, and fatty meats.
