Robert mondavi's original vision was to produce wines from the Napa valley that would stand in the company of the world's finest. Our Napa valley wines reflect the elegance, harmony and balance he foresaw when he founded the winery in 1966. This wine balances the rich abundance of Merlot's black currant aromas and flavors with the structure of cabernet sauvignon and the influences of new french oak. Fullbodied with soft, round tannins and plush mouthfeel. This merlot shows a mature intensity that extends all the way into a smooth, silken finish.
