This release offers the nose of butterscotch and toffee, which carries through to the palate. The bright notes of butterscotch are balanced with caramel and baked apples for a medium-to-long finish with a spicy note one would expect from bourbon aged just over three years.
New England Barrel Company Small Batch Select Cask Strength's palate reveals classic bourbon notes such as honey, vanilla and toasted oak. The long finish is where this magic happens and the tasting experience is complete with a nice Kentucky hug!
NOSE: Vanilla wafer cookie, molasses, burnt marshmallow, graham cracker, and peanut shells.
TASTE: Cocoa powder, caramel, light nutmeg, tannic oak, and strawberry.
FINISH: Medium-long finish with strawberry jam, roasted walnuts, and almond butter.
