The blend is led by Pinot Noir and Meunier and lifted by the finesse of Chardonnay, finished at a demi-sec dosage of roughly 45 g/l — sweetness calibrated so the wine holds its shape as the ice melts. Ice Impérial was the first Champagne Moët & Chandon (founded 1743) ever created to be enjoyed on the rocks when it launched in 2011, and this release marks the second year of the house's collaboration with Pharrell Williams, who earlier reimagined its Brut Impérial for Moët's 282nd anniversary.
On the nose, vibrant tropical fruit is followed by ripe stone fruit and a subtle floral lift.
On the palate, it is generous and rounded, intensely fruity, with a plush demi-sec richness that stays fresh over ice.
The finish is crisp and refreshing, cut clean by the wine's natural acidity.
