The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and school teacher. It is the most sought after whisky for collectors, regularly setting records all round the world, such is it’s quality and rarity.
This is the first release in the Edition series, launched in 2015. Matured in 58% Butts, 23% Hogshead and 19% Puncheon, this liquid has been matured in the following 8 types of cask
