Foursquare Distillery 16 Years Mandamus Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXIX Fine Barbados Single Blended Rum

Foursquare has earned worldwide acclaim for its Exceptional Cask Selection, a collection that continues to captivate rum enthusiasts. This latest release is a blend of pot and column still distillates, aged for a total of 16 years; 10 years in ex-bourbon casks and an additional 6 years in ex-Tawny Port casks.

The result is a rich, full-bodied rum with layers of blackberry, plum tart, hazelnut, and ginger, complemented by subtle notes of dark chocolate and black tea. Complex yet perfectly balanced, this release is a true reflection of Foursquare’s craftsmanship and dedication to fine aged rum.

The Mark XXIX “Mandamus” release is a 16-year double maturation single blended rum, distilled in both copper double-retort pot stills and the continuous twin column Coffey still. It was aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred into ex-port casks for an additional 6 years.

Bottled at 57% ABV (114 proof), this rum is crafted entirely on-site at Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. Like all Foursquare releases, it contains no added sugar, no coloring, no filtration, and no flavor additives.
