Distiller’s Art Dailuaine 21 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a single-cask range of bottlings released by Hunter Laing. Hunter Laing was founded in Glasgow, similar to the Douglas Laing story and became their own entity in 2013. They are behind other great bottlings such as Old Malt Cask and Old & Rare. They also are the owners of the new Islay distillery, Ardnahoe.
Known for quick distillation, Dailuaine is a Speyside-based Diageo-owned distillery that creates a versatile single malt that matures well in various casks. Built in 1852, Dailuaine derives from the Gaelic ‘An dail uaine’ meaning ‘green valley’. Single malt bottlings from the scenically located Dailuaine are few and far between. The bulk of the malt spirit produced at Dailuaine is used for blending in Johnnie Walker.
