This exquisite cognac is crafted exclusively from eaux-de-vie sourced from the prestigious Borderies cru, known for its round, floral character. The spirit undergoes a unique aging process, starting with approximately 10 months in new French oak casks, followed by several years in red barrels to develop its full aromatic capacity. The final touch is a 9-month finish in rare Japanese Mizunara oak barrels, which imparts distinctive spicy notes and adds depth to the blend. Bottled at 44% ABV, this limited edition cognac offers a complex flavor profile featuring notes of tarte tatin, candied cherries, red fruits, toffee, and spices, with a long finish of walnut and white pepper.
