Zumbador Blanco Tequila is a bright, artisanal Highland tequila that puts the natural character of Blue Weber agave at the center of the experience. Produced at El Sabino in Jesús María, Los Altos de Jalisco, it is crafted from Tequilana Weber Azul agave and bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). Fresh fruit, floral aromatics, gentle sweetness, and lively agave character come together in a clean, balanced blanco designed for both sipping and premium cocktails.

Process & Profile

Zumbador comes from the López family, who have cultivated agave in Jalisco for four generations. Their El Sabino estate encompasses approximately 1,000 acres with 1.5 million agave plants, while fourth-generation agave grower and Maestro Tequilero Roberto López Anaya oversees production with a strong focus on traditional cultivation and distillation.

For the Blanco, Zumbador uses Blue Weber agave averaging approximately 5.5 years of age. The agaves are cooked in traditional masonry ovens and crushed using a tahona, preserving the deep cooked-agave character that defines the spirit.

Fermentation takes place in a combination of wood and stainless-steel vessels, followed by distillation using copper and stainless-steel equipment. With no barrel aging to alter the spirit, the finished Blanco offers a direct expression of the agave, production methods, and Highland terroir.

On the nose, Zumbador officially describes a combination of fruit and floral aromas with multiple layers of agave. The profile is fresh and expressive, showing the naturally aromatic side of Highland agave rather than relying on barrel-derived sweetness or spice.

The palate enters gently, balancing subtle acidity and natural sweetness with clean agave flavor. Additional tasting impressions highlight cooked agave, black pepper, mineral notes, and fresh fruit, creating a style that feels vibrant, crisp, and well integrated at 40% ABV.

The finish is clean and persistent, with lingering cooked agave, fruit, pepper, and mineral character. Its balance makes it approachable enough for casual sipping while retaining enough authentic agave presence for experienced tequila drinkers.

What makes Zumbador Blanco Tequila especially compelling is its combination of four generations of agave-growing experience, Highland-grown Blue Weber agave, masonry-oven cooking, tahona crushing, and traditional mixed-vessel fermentation and distillation. The result is an honest, agave-forward tequila that emphasizes freshness and terroir rather than unnecessary complexity.

Enjoy it neat or slightly chilled to appreciate its pure agave character. Its fresh fruit, floral, pepper, and mineral profile also makes it an excellent foundation for a premium Margarita, Paloma, Ranch Water, or other agave-forward cocktail.
