Wine Enthusiast 94 points - This Islay single malt is all about the peat. Golden in the glass, the distinctly smoky scent hints at vanilla and honey underneath. Expect a big billow of smoke from the first sip, underpinned by subtle hints of honey, vanilla and sherry sweetness. The concentrated peat smoke leads right into the drying finish, plus hints of black pepper, iodine and spearmint astringency

    If you love a truly smokey and peaty single malt, then this whiskey is a must bottle for your collection. One of my favorites.

    Lore has a smooth finish

    If you’re looking for a smooth scotch Laphroaig Lore is a winner. It’s well balanced with smoke a peat. On the rocks it has a smoother finish than 10. Well worth the money.
