Lagavulin Distillers Edition Single Malt Scotch has an aroma of intense raisins, prunes and smoke. The initial notes are surprisingly sweet, with subtle hints of caramel, vanilla and dates that are balanced by a smoky undertone. The ever-lasting finish has deep, dark notes of red fruits and a round, bold finish.

This is by far my favorite $100 Scotch. It is smooth with wonderful flavor. If you like Islay Scotch, you can't go wrong with this!!

I've tasted prior years versions and this 2006 bottling doesn't disappoint. Classic Lagavulin notes of the salty sea but tasting a but more mellow with the different aging method used here.
Purchasing and shipping was smooth with bourbon central.
