Nathan has spent more than a decade sourcing, tasting, and evaluating American whiskey for collectors and enthusiasts.
Each year he samples more than 500 bourbons, ryes, and finished whiskeys — including single barrels, limited releases, and everyday shelf staples — building the kind of comparative reference that only comes from volume and consistency.
He has visited dozens of Kentucky distilleries to better understand production, maturation, and barrel selection, and brings that first-hand knowledge of what happens inside a rickhouse to every evaluation he runs.
On the tasting panel
Nathan convenes the tasting panel and sets the flight — choosing the control pour, the comparison set and the scoring rubric — then scores blind alongside everyone else.
