The Bernheim Distillery, operated by Heaven Hill since 1999, is named in honor of Isaac Wolfe Bernheim, a German immigrant who became a successful whiskey pioneer in the late 1800s. Located in the heart of Louisville, Bernheim is one of the largest independent, family-owned distilleries in the U.S. and serves as the primary distilling site for Heaven Hill’s award-winning brands. It was also the first distillery to produce a straight wheat whiskey with a federally recognized designation.
