Aroma of dark fruit, wood, cinnamon, toasted corn, and caramel. With undertones of oak, vanilla, nutmeg, moderate black pepper spice, and a tiny touch of honey, the flavor is excellent—an excellent balance, a medium body, and a warm, spicy feeling.

John Koko and Scott Neil, both former Green Berets, established Horse Soldiers. Particularly, Scott was a member of the initial group of 90 soldiers dispatched into Afghanistan after 9/11 to combat the Taliban and Al Qaeda; this is the same operation that was just made into a movie starring Chris Hemsworth called 12 Strong. Because the Green Berets and Mujahideen fighters overran the Taliban tanks on horses, they gave their brand the name Horse Soldiers.
