Part of Jim Beam's "Small Batch Collection", this cask-strength, non-chill-filtered bourbon was first given out as gifts by Booker Noe before being made available to the public in 1992. Aged between 6-8 years and bottled at 120-130 proof, it's a bourbon with a bite. A new batch is released every few months.

This release is dedicated to Booker Noe's love for New Orleans and its food - a hot dog street cart, in particular. The whiskey has aromas of vanilla and spice, a warm and robust palate, and a long, lingering finish.

Frequently asked questions

What is Booker's Bourbon?
Booker's is an uncut, unfiltered, barrel-proof small-batch bourbon from the Jim Beam distillery, originally created by legendary master distiller Booker Noe. It's bottled straight from the barrel with no dilution, so every batch is bold and distinctive.
What is the Big Easy batch?
Big Easy is the name of the 2026-01 batch. Like every Booker's release, it's bottled at barrel strength — typically well above 120 proof — and carries its own unique character, age statement and tasting notes.
How should I drink Booker's?
Always taste it neat first to appreciate the full intensity, then add a few drops of water to open it up and tame the heat. It also makes a famously powerful Old Fashioned. Learn more in our barrel-proof bourbon 101.
What does Booker's taste like?
Big, rich and chewy: layers of vanilla, toasted oak, caramel, roasted nuts and a long, warming finish. The high proof carries enormous flavor, which is exactly why barrel-proof fans love it.
Why is Booker's more expensive than standard bourbon?
It's aged longer (generally six to eight years), bottled at full barrel strength, and released in limited batches — all of which make it a collectible, special-occasion pour rather than an everyday bottle.
What else should I try if I like barrel-proof bourbon?
For another aged, full-flavored pour, try Knob Creek 9 Year or the port-finished Angel's Envy. See the full lineup in our Bourbon collection.
