New Riff Sour Mash Single Malt Whiskey (2025) is a Kentucky-produced American Single Malt blending three mashbills—41% Maris Otter, 41% Barleywine-style pale ale malt with Munich and chocolate malts, and 18% Scottish peated barley—aged 7-10 years in new charred oak, de-charred toasted oak, de-charred re-charred oak, Madeira, Oloroso sherry, and red wine casks. The final blend undergoes extended maturation in used oak, bottled at 115.2 proof without chill-filtration or additives. This iterative release showcases the distillery's oldest stocks from its 2014 founding, emphasizing slow four-day fermentation and full-size 53-gallon barrels.
