Stolichnaya is one of the few large vodka brands whose range is built around flavour rather than around a price ladder, and that is exactly what this collection reflects: seven bottles, six of them flavoured, one of them the serious one. Prices run $23.99 to $48.99.

Worth knowing before you choose: Stoli's flavoured expressions are made by infusing the base spirit rather than by adding sweetened flavouring after the fact, which is why they read drier in a drink than most flavoured vodka and why they hold up in a shaken cocktail instead of collapsing into candy.

The flavours

Stolichnaya Vodka Razberi ($23.99) and Stolichnaya Vodka Blueberry ($23.99) are the two that work best with lemon and soda. Stolichnaya Vodka Ohranj ($24.99) is the one to reach for in a screwdriver or a cosmopolitan variant, and Stolichnaya Vodka Persik ($24.99) is the summer bottle — peach against prosecco or iced tea. Stolichnaya Vodka Vanil ($26.99) is the outlier and the most useful of the six: vanilla vodka is a dessert-cocktail workhorse, and it is the backbone of an espresso martini that does not need sugar syrup.

The two unflavoured bottles

Stolichnaya Vodka Gold ($32.99) is the everyday pour — filtered through quartz and charcoal, and the sensible choice for a martini or a highball you are not thinking hard about.

Stolichnaya Elite Vodka ($48.99) is a different proposition. It is Stoli's small-batch bottling, made from single-estate grain and put through a freeze-filtration step that drops the temperature far below zero to strip out residual oils. At $48.99 it sits alongside Belvedere Vodka ($38.99) and Grey Goose Vodka ($29.99) rather than alongside the rest of this collection, and it is the only bottle here genuinely built for sipping cold and neat.
