GlassMen's Parr Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the tiny Franz Valley within Sonoma County's Knights Valley, where trapped fog, hillside slopes and cool nights shape a Pinot with more depth and body than most. Crafted by winemaker William Knuttel, formerly of Saintsbury and Chalk Hill, it opens with black cherry, black raspberry, kola nut, forest floor and allspice, then unfolds into black forest cherry, Damson plum, mocha and exotic spice, lifted by bright acidity and supple tannins on a long finish. Generous yet lively, it's a standout for anyone who loves Pinot Noir with richer dark fruit, and it's ready to enjoy now or cellar through 2030.

GlassMen Pinot Noir comes from Parr Vineyard, a site in the small Franz Valley within Sonoma County's Knights Valley. Fog settles in the valley, and with hillside plantings and cool nights, the fruit ripens slowly and keeps its freshness. Winemaker William Knuttel, whose résumé includes Saintsbury and Chalk Hill, crafts a fuller-bodied style of Pinot Noir with a touch of well-integrated oak and a moderate 13.9% ABV.

Deep ruby in the glass, it opens with black cherry and black raspberry. Notes of kola nut, licorice, allspice and forest floor follow, along with a lifted, savory edge of strawberry.

The palate is round and ample, offering black forest cherry, Damson plum, mocha and exotic spice. Bright acidity keeps the concentrated dark fruit lively.

The finish is long, with supple yet slightly grippy tannins that carry the spice and cherry well after the last sip.

This Pinot Noir delivers more depth and structure than most bottlings of the grape while staying aromatic and fresh. It expresses a distinctive corner of Sonoma County, where Franz Valley's fog and cool nights shape the fruit. An experienced winemaker brings balance to its dark-fruit intensity.

Serve slightly cool, around 58°F, to highlight its aromatics and bright acidity. It pairs well with roast duck, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon or herb-crusted pork. Enjoy it now or cellar it through 2030.
