Perfectly pairing vibrancy with sophistication, this luxurious vintage champagne transforms any occasion into an unforgettable experience.

Process & Profile

Winemaking Method Dom Perignon Rosé is produced using a unique approach that emphasizes the blending of red and white wines. The red Pinot Noir grapes are vinified separately and added to the white wine prior to the secondary fermentation. This method imparts both a beautiful rose hue and depth of flavor, ensuring that each bottle is a testament to the brand's commitment to quality and artistry. Aging and Vintage Each vintage of Dom Perignon Rosé undergoes a careful aging process of at least seven years, allowing the wine to develop its complexity and character. The grapes are hand-harvested to maintain high acidity levels, and the process is strictly vintage, meaning only grapes from a single year are used, eschewing the blending common in non-vintage Champagnes.

Tasting Notes

Visual and Aromatic Profile The Dom Perignon Rosé captivates with a stunning salmon hue, reminiscent of a sunset. On the nose, it bursts with aromas of ripe red fruits such as raspberries and wild strawberries, layered with elegant floral notes of iris and violet. After breathing, hints of greener nuances like privet and angelica come to life. Palate Experience Upon tasting, this Champagne reveals a rich and balanced structure, bursting forth with persistent fruit flavors that blend harmoniously with the refreshing acidity characteristic of the vintage. Flavors of pink grapefruit and subtle toasted bread enhance the experience, culminating in an exceptionally long and fulfilling finish that echoes the wine's vibrant complexity.

What Makes It Special

Limited Production Dom Perignon Rosé is only produced in the best vintages and in limited quantities. This rarity adds to its allure and status as one of the most sought-after rosé Champagnes in the world, appealing to collectors and enthusiasts alike. Legacy of Craftsmanship The brand's deep-rooted history, paired with its innovative approach to winemaking, honors the tradition originally established by Dom Pierre Perignon, a pioneer in the Champagne industry. Each bottle serves as a tribute to the craftsmanship and dedication that define this luxury Champagne, making it a coveted addition to any fine wine collection.

How to Enjoy

Serving Suggestions To fully appreciate the delicate flavors of Dom Perignon Rosé, serve it chilled at around 10°C (50°F). Refrigerate for about two hours or use an ice bucket to achieve the perfect temperature. When pouring, gently loosen the cork and pour slowly to preserve the bubbles, filling the glass to two-thirds full for optimal enjoyment. Ideal Pairings This exquisite Champagne pairs beautifully with a range of dishes. Consider serving it alongside fresh seafood, such as oysters or sushi, to complement its vibrant acidity. It also enhances rich poultry dishes, like roasted duck, or can be savored with a selection of soft cheeses. For dessert, a red fruit tart harmonizes perfectly with the Champagne's berry notes, creating a celebratory experience. Conclusion Dom Perignon Rosé Champagne Cuvée Vintage is not just a drink; it is an experience that encapsulates luxury, history, and the art of winemaking. Whether for a special occasion or as an indulgent treat, this Champagne promises to elevate any moment into a celebration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Dom Pérignon Rosé special compared to the standard cuvée?

Dom Pérignon Rosé is crafted with a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, utilizing the 'assemblage' method where red wine is blended with white base wine before secondary fermentation. This gives it its distinctive pink hue and a more structured, vinous character compared to the lighter and more delicate standard cuvée. It is considered a luxury vintage Champagne, produced only in the best years and in smaller quantities, making it rarer and more expensive.

How is Dom Pérignon Rosé made?

This Champagne is made through meticulous processes: hand-harvesting high-acidity Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks, blending (assemblage) with red wine, and a minimum of seven years of aging in the bottle. The extended aging enhances its complexity, ensuring each bottle meets the brand's high standards.

Why is Dom Pérignon Rosé more expensive than other Champagnes?

The higher price is attributed to its rarity, limited production, and the challenging winemaking techniques involved in producing the rosé style. Additionally, it is made only in exceptional vintages, using premium grapes from specific Grand Cru vineyards, which further contributes to its exclusivity and price.

What are the tasting notes of Dom Pérignon Rosé?

Dom Pérignon Rosé is known for its rich and layered flavor profile. Expect vibrant notes of red berries like raspberry and strawberry, alongside hints of candied citrus, spices, and subtle toastiness. The texture is creamy and satiny, with fine bubbles and a long, refreshing finish showcasing minerality and elegant structure.

How long can Dom Pérignon Rosé age?

Thanks to its exceptional craftsmanship, Dom Pérignon Rosé has significant aging potential. Depending on the vintage, it can mature gracefully for 20 years or more when stored properly in ideal cellar conditions. Aging enhances its complexity, adding richer and more nuanced flavors over time.

What is the ideal food pairing for Dom Pérignon Rosé?

Dom Pérignon Rosé pairs well with a variety of dishes due to its balanced acidity and richness. Ideal pairings include seafood like lobster or scallops, duck breast, and even risotto with earthy or spicy flavors. The wine's complexity makes it versatile for both light and bold dishes.

How should Dom Pérignon Rosé be served?

Serve Dom Pérignon Rosé chilled at about 8–10°C (46–50°F) in a Champagne flute or white wine glass to best appreciate its aromas and bubbles. Avoid removing the traditional foil; instead, pull the tab through it to remove the cage and cork.

What are some of the best recent vintages of Dom Pérignon Rosé?

Standout vintages include 2008 and 2009. The 2008 vintage is praised for its incredible depth, vibrant red fruit notes, and long aging potential, while the 2009 vintage boasts a richer style with generous fruit and a harmonious balance.

What is the historical significance of Dom Pérignon Rosé?

The first Dom Pérignon Rosé was produced in 1959, initially for a limited celebration before being released commercially in 1962. Today, it remains a symbol of luxury and is highly sought after by collectors and wine enthusiasts worldwide.

What is the difference between Dom Pérignon Rosé and other rosé Champagnes?

Unlike many rosé Champagnes, which may not always be vintage, Dom Pérignon Rosé is exclusively a vintage Champagne made from a single year's harvest. Its production involves the finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru grapes, setting it apart as a prestigious, age-worthy wine with unparalleled quality and character.

Much better than I thought, I expected only hype

I’ve been disappointed by don p before because of the price, but I’d never had the chance to try the Rose. I expected it to be too sweet, but it’s actually very mild, and pleasantly dry. Would definitely try again.
