Stags Leap District is a unique place to farm grapes.
Often called a valley within the valley, our soils and
temperatures are ideal for producing optimal grapes.
Our family has been farming this land since 1965. The
2002 vintage is the result of a wonderful growing
season for the Stags Leap region. A good crop ripened
to perfection in early September.
The resulting wine, a blend of our three estate
vineyards, has a wonderful depth and complexity. Our
2002 Estate Merlot is rich and satisfying…to be
enjoyed now and for years to come.
Vanilla…..Spice
Tasting Notes:
Using a variety of oak to provide a spicy vanilla
foundation, this wine has added layers of blueberry and
cream flavors
