Wine Advocate 91 points - The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Some spicy oak, creme de cassis and background barrique smells a re present in this youthful, classic Cabernet Sauvignon made by the long-time winemaker at Mondavi, Genevieve Janssens. This wine is still relatively tightly knit, especially for a 2014, and requires a bit of coaxing, but the black and red currant fruit, the classic Pauillac-like cedar wood, and spice box are all present in this is medium to full-bodied wine. It should be given 3-4 years of bottle age then drunk over following 20-25 years.
