Marion has been producing exceptionally high-quality Amarone and Amarone-style wines since 1996. Before arriving at Marion, winemaker Celestino Gaspari was enologist at the legendary Giuseppe Quintarelli. 30% of the grapes on this wine undergo the "Appassimento" technique of drying the grapes before fermentation. This creates a wine with the rich, heady flavors of Amarone without the heaviness. A full-bodied, lusciously-textured wine with flavors of dried figs, cacao, black cherries, and herbal spice.
