The Santenay is a well-built wine. Its bouquet is of strawberry where the old vintages are characterized by chestnut and dried plum.
This Santenay is dry and full-bodied. A fleshy wine with notes of preserved fruits and honey combined with a nice acidity level which brings a nice balance and a good mineral length.
Serve this wine as an aperitif, with fish, shellfish or creamy white meats.
This is a single-vineyard wine, although not a Premier Cru. It is ripe with plenty of strawberry fruit. Still young though, it is also filled with tannins and tight, juicy acidity that need to soften into the fruits. The wine is potentially warm and ripe
