Starting off the month like we should—with a 5,200 limited release edition from the reputed Willett Family Estate. Peep below for some of tasting notes:
Nose: Very sweet. Some grainy corn, lots of wood sweets, cinnamon, and a bit of new make ethanol.
Taste: Corn grain, lots and lots of cinnamon, a little earthy, and your typical vanilla caramel sweets. There's as much wood influence as you'd expect for a 4 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, just enough to cover up all the ethanol notes. The finish filled to the brim with luscious cinamon. While we've had a lot of Willett under our belt, this one is definitely a favorite, refreshing addition.
