Sourced from vineyards in the Carneros and Sonoma Coast AVAs, the grapes benefit from a cool, windy climate and long hangtimes, allowing for gradual ripening and the preservation of natural acidity. The winemaking style emphasizes balance and complexity through aging in large neutral oak casks, stainless steel, and older French oak barrels, limiting the influence of new oak while highlighting pure fruit character.
